The term comes from the Latin for the crest on the top of a cockerels head. Anatomically it refers to a small ridge of bone that projects from the top of ethmoid (a delicate bone just between the eyes) and forms the attachment for the falx cerebri an important connection in the proper dynamic functioning of the cranium.   Unfortunately NOT the view from the practice
